Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Assist with various administrative tasks, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient records.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients, medical staff, and other departments within the facility. Relay messages accurately and in a timely manner.
- Patient Care: Provide assistance to patients and their families by addressing inquiries, directing them to appropriate resources, and ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including admissions, discharges, and transfers. Ensure confidentiality of patient information at all times.
- Supply Management: Monitor and replenish office and medical supplies as needed. Assist with inventory management to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Clerical Duties: Perform basic clerical tasks such as typing, filing, photocopying, and faxing documents. Organize and maintain filing systems for easy retrieval of information.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and compliance with regulatory standards. Report any issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a clerical or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including MS Office.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures is a plus.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
