Job Description

This role involves managing the billing team, implementing billing systems, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Management:
    • Supervise and lead the billing team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
    • Coordinate work schedules, assign tasks, and ensure efficient workflow within the department.
    • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  2. Billing Operations:
    • Oversee the preparation and issuance of invoices to clients.
    • Ensure all billing information is accurate, complete, and compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Monitor the billing process and address any discrepancies or issues promptly.
  3. System Management:
    • Implement and maintain billing systems and software.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.
    • Ensure data integrity and security within the billing systems.
  4. Customer Relations:
    • Handle customer inquiries and resolve billing issues in a timely and professional manner.
    • Work closely with the customer service department to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  5. Compliance and Reporting:
    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including tax and financial reporting requirements.
    • Prepare regular reports on billing activities, performance metrics, and outstanding accounts.
    • Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to billing policies and procedures.
  6. Financial Management:
    • Monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of payments.
    • Collaborate with the finance department to reconcile billing discrepancies and manage revenue streams.
    • Develop and manage the billing department budget.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in billing, accounting, or financial management.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or management role preferred.
  • Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements related to billing.
