This role involves managing the billing team, implementing billing systems, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management:
- Supervise and lead the billing team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Coordinate work schedules, assign tasks, and ensure efficient workflow within the department.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Billing Operations:
- Oversee the preparation and issuance of invoices to clients.
- Ensure all billing information is accurate, complete, and compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor the billing process and address any discrepancies or issues promptly.
- System Management:
- Implement and maintain billing systems and software.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.
- Ensure data integrity and security within the billing systems.
- Customer Relations:
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve billing issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Work closely with the customer service department to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including tax and financial reporting requirements.
- Prepare regular reports on billing activities, performance metrics, and outstanding accounts.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to billing policies and procedures.
- Financial Management:
- Monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of payments.
- Collaborate with the finance department to reconcile billing discrepancies and manage revenue streams.
- Develop and manage the billing department budget.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in billing, accounting, or financial management.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or management role preferred.
- Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements related to billing.
