Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of case preparation and management.
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support case strategies.
- Draft and proofread legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, and agreements.
- Maintain organized and accurate case files, both in physical and electronic formats.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Schedule appointments, hearings, and other important dates for attorneys.
- Assist with billing and invoicing processes, including tracking billable hours.
- Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, filing, and managing office supplies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience working as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
