The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting experiments, analyzing data, and contributing to the development of innovative solutions in biochemical research. This role requires a strong foundation in biochemistry, molecular biology, and related scientific disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and Experimentation:
- Design, plan, and execute biochemical experiments.
- Conduct research to develop new biochemical processes and products.
- Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures and results.
- Data Analysis:
- Analyze experimental data using statistical and bioinformatics tools.
- Interpret data to draw meaningful conclusions and provide recommendations.
- Technical Development:
- Develop and optimize protocols for biochemical assays.
- Troubleshoot and refine experimental procedures as needed.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in biochemistry and related fields.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations on research findings.
- Document all research activities in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Contribute to scientific publications and patent applications.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including molecular biologists, chemists, and engineers.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and strategy.
- Laboratory Management:
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements in the laboratory.
- Manage inventory of chemicals and reagents.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Ph.D. with 2+ years or Master’s with 4+ years of relevant laboratory experience.
- Experience in protein purification, enzyme assays, or molecular cloning is preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in biochemical techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy, and electrophoresis.
- Familiarity with molecular biology techniques including PCR, Western blotting, and gene expression analysis.
- Experience with bioinformatics tools and software for data analysis.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries.
