Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Media Relations:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, bloggers, and influencers.
- Pitch story ideas, press releases, and company announcements to relevant media outlets.
- Coordinate interviews, press conferences, and media appearances for company executives and spokespersons.
- Content Creation:
- Develop compelling press releases, articles, blog posts, and other written materials.
- Create engaging content for social media platforms to promote brand awareness and engagement.
- Collaborate with internal teams to generate content ideas and maintain consistent messaging across all channels.
- Crisis Management:
- Act as a spokesperson for the company during crisis situations, responding to media inquiries and managing public perception.
- Develop crisis communication plans and protocols to mitigate potential reputational risks.
- Event Planning:
- Organize and execute PR events, including product launches, media briefings, and industry conferences.
- Coordinate logistics, secure media coverage, and ensure events are executed smoothly and successfully.
- Monitoring and Analysis:
- Monitor media coverage and social media conversations related to the company and industry trends.
- Analyze PR metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Proven experience working in public relations, preferably in a corporate or agency setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and pitches.
- Strong media relations skills, with a network of contacts in the industry.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in media monitoring and analytics tools.
- Experience with crisis management and strategic planning.
- Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and brand building.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in public relations or communications.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and senior executives.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards.
