Job Description

The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a strong knowledge of travel destinations, and the ability to create customized travel itineraries to meet the unique needs of each client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult with Clients: Communicate with clients to understand their travel preferences, needs, and budget to create personalized travel plans.
  • Research and Planning: Research travel options and destinations, staying updated on travel trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Booking and Reservations: Make travel arrangements such as flights, hotels, car rentals, tours, and other travel-related services.
  • Travel Documentation: Assist clients with obtaining necessary travel documents, such as visas and travel insurance.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service throughout the travel planning process and address any issues or concerns that may arise during travel.
  • Sales and Upselling: Promote travel packages, special deals, and additional services to maximize sales and enhance the client’s travel experience.
  • Follow-Up: Maintain contact with clients to ensure satisfaction and to build long-term relationships for repeat business.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage travel bookings, handle payments, maintain client records, and prepare reports as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality, tourism, or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a travel agent or in a customer service role is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
    • Proficiency in using travel booking software and online travel tools.
    • Knowledge of travel regulations, destinations, and industry trends.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Sales and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification from a recognized travel school or association (e.g., Certified Travel Associate (CTA) or Certified Travel Counselor (CTC)).
  • Multilingual abilities.
  • Experience with corporate travel planning.
