Job Description
This role requires excellent communication skills, in-depth knowledge of travel destinations, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Consultation:
- Engage with clients to understand their travel needs and preferences.
- Provide detailed information about travel destinations, transportation options, accommodation, and costs.
- Travel Planning and Booking:
- Research and recommend travel destinations based on client preferences and budget.
- Book flights, hotels, rental cars, tours, and other travel-related services.
- Ensure all travel arrangements comply with clients’ requirements and company policies.
- Customer Service:
- Address client inquiries and resolve any travel-related issues or concerns.
- Provide travel advice, including visa requirements, health and safety guidelines, and travel insurance options.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate client records and travel documents.
- Process payments and manage financial transactions related to travel bookings.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, travel regulations, and new products/services.
- Sales and Marketing:
- Promote travel packages and special deals to clients.
- Meet sales targets and contribute to the company’s revenue goals.
- Participate in marketing activities such as attending travel expos and creating promotional materials.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with other team members to ensure a coordinated approach to client service.
- Establish and maintain relationships with travel suppliers and partners.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Travel, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Travel Consultant or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in travel booking systems (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo).
- Familiarity with travel regulations and destination knowledge.
- Sales acumen and the ability to meet targets.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
