Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess strong data entry skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

  1. Accurately enter customer orders into the system in a timely manner.
  2. Review orders for completeness and accuracy, resolving any discrepancies or issues as needed.
  3. Communicate with customers to confirm order details or obtain missing information.
  4. Coordinate with various departments such as sales, warehouse, and shipping to ensure smooth order processing and fulfillment.
  5. Update order status and provide tracking information to customers as necessary.
  6. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any order-related issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
  7. Maintain organized records of all orders and related documentation.
  8. Assist in generating reports and analyzing order data as required.
  9. Collaborate with team members to continuously improve order entry processes and efficiency.
  10. Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding order processing and customer interactions.

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in business administration or related field is a plus.
  2. Proven experience in order entry or data entry role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Proficiency in using order processing software and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
  4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  7. Customer-focused mindset with a dedication to providing exceptional service.
  8. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  9. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
  10. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience in a similar role within the manufacturing, distribution, or retail industry.
  2. Familiarity with inventory management systems and procedures.
  3. Knowledge of shipping and logistics processes.
  4. Experience with CRM software or customer database management.
  5. Basic understanding of accounting principles related to order processing and invoicing.
